Mosaic bowie collaboration with Conny Persson
Very complex zig-zag Mosaic/ turkish twist/ explosion damascus 5-bar blade in 15N20 & 20C carbon steels- hollow ground on a large wheel making the blade wickedly thin and fast. Handle is fossil walrus beach ivory, it was rolling around in the sea for thousands of years getting shaped and smoothed down by pebbles and such- I left the rear end of it all natural to match the history of the piece. Guard is textured and antiqued sterling silver, it bears our signatures ”PERSSON – HÖGSTRÖM” under the top curve of the S. I designed the knife, Conny forged the blade to shape, ground and finished it- then it was again my turn to make the guard, handle and finish the knife off. This is the only bowie knife we have ever made together. The knife is being fitted for a leather sheath. Comes with a certificate and Hogstrom-made padded soft case.
