Blade: Twist pattern damasteel (blade  58 cm/23″ long – overall 91cm/36″)
Fittings: sculpted bronze with copper highlights.  Damasteel rings and front disc.  Head comb is Jet.
Staff: Curly oak w multiple finish treatments, bronze end and rubber tip
Misc: The hawk’s head is by far the most complicated wax carving and casting I have done to date, it posed several different challenges and I had to invent new techniques and tools to be able to build it.  Press fit and screw construction.  The piece is well balanced and locks in.
